Gone but not forgotten.
The Casey Ryan Memorial Scholarship is for two types of students: a graduating senior from Greene County Tech (Paragould, Arkansas) who wishes to attend a trade school or a university and a PA student from Christian Brothers University (Memphis, Tennessee) enrolled in either the didactic or clinical part of his/her education.
As of 2023, we have been able to award $5,500 in scholarships!
Having attended college and graduate school, I know the struggle/cost of what higher education is for students. After my brother passed away, I opened a scholarship (the day before his 25th birthday) in his memory. I encourage anyone to donate whatever amount to this worthy cause. Every little bit helps!
We would like to provide two special students (from our alma maters), who exemplify the traits Casey possessed, with a scholarship in his honor. He was always helping other people, and we want to continue that for others. In fact, that seems to be what he's most remembered for.
I would like to give a scholarship to two students each year: one to represent my brother's career choice and one to represent mine. I would like to give a scholarship to a student from Greene County Tech High school each May who would like to go to a trade school; however, students who wish to go to a university are encouraged to apply as well. I would also like to give a scholarship to a physician assistant (PA) student at my alma mater (Christian Brothers University). See other pages for more details. This is something I plan to continue indefinitely.
Thank you for your consideration,
-Whitney Gatewood
Casey Vaughn Ryan graduated from Greene County Tech High School in May 2015. He was proud to graduate. His life was tragically cut short just 6 years later. His loving family has decided to open a scholarship in his name. It will be awarded to students in need.
Casey loved his job at KNL Holdings and was a beloved coworker and friend to many. His true passion in life was motorcycles. He made many friends while riding and touched the lives of many with his kind heart.
